Someone Save Falcao From La Liga

In another video from Jordan Cockfield, Atleti’s Radamel Falcao’s 2011/2012 goals are on display. He’s an incredible talent with a nose for goal to say the least.

Now, would someone please save him from Atletico Madrid? I don’t care if he’s at a team I despise, he needs Champion’s League football and first team opportunities. He’s an amazing goalscorer.

Ronaldo, Higuain and Benzema Goals – 2011/2012

The Real Madrid team of 2011/2012 was absolutely incredible in terms of scoring. They set records and between their three headed monster of Ronaldo, Higuain and Benzema, they netted 118 goals in all competitions.

B&B all XI – Joe and Tim Pick

So, after this season, I have a sour taste in my mouth about the PFA all XI.  The EPL has a number of underrated players mostly for mediocre or worse teams.  Clint Dempsey, Victor Moses, and Michael Vorm have all had sensational years, despite being part of underrated teams.  Even Chris Samba, and Yakubu who are part of a relegated team have had better than most seasons this year showing us that stars don’t win games, team play does.

Tim and I have talked about certain players in bad situations, as he would argue, there are no bad keepers in the Prem.  I would agree, but there are some dismal defenses.  With all that, I’d like to set up this season’s superlatives with a look at the real EPL all XI, not that bull the PFA released.  After all, it’s easy to pick the 11 best players off of the 4 best teams. My Offseason Wish List for Liverpool FC

It’s no secret that I’m a supporter of the Reds, and a die hard one at that. It’s also no secret that the team have fallen on hard times as of late. The blame can be pointed at players, coaches, or management, but I feel like a little needs to fall on everyone at the club. The players are way too talented to be playing as poorly as they are. No way that a team should be able to have 30 shots, and not one goal to show for it. The finishing is poor, just poor. Some would say that that falls on the heads of the coaching staff. After all, they are the ones who train the players and get them practicing what they should be practicing. They are also responsible for the tactics involved in creating chances, something that hasn’t come so easily for the club this year. Some would argue that the players brought in since Dalglish’s reentry at Anfield, save Suarez and Enrique, have been busts and were byproducts of a strange combination of Dalglish’s desire for English players, and Comolli’s desire for young talent.

Regardless of who is to blame for it, whether it’s one man or the whole organization, things need to change and John W. Henry and Tom Werner are no strangers to cutting ties, no matter the strings attached. Read more…

Video: Where Will De Jong End Up?

FC Twente striker Luuk De Jong is among the hottest young prospects in Europe and is having massive season for FC Twente. Odds are he ends up in the Premier League next year, but there’s no definite destination as of yet.

Video: Another Belgian Starlet to Watch

It seems like some of the hottest footballing properties these days have been Belgians – Hazard, Lukaku, Defour and Witsel.

Axel, who signed for Portuguese outfit Benfica last year, is now being rumored, along with everyone under the sum, to a debut in England. Chelsea seem keen and Abramovich certainly isn’t short of funds this summer.
